The Parkland High School boys basketball team has come a long way since the start of the 2025-26 regular season back on Monday, Dec. 1.
In that season opener, the Trojans took to the road and lost by double digits to Allen, 55-45. Fast forward a month-and-a-half later and the two Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and District 11 6A title contenders met again, this time at Parkland.
The Trojans got the better of the Canaries, winning 55-44 last Tuesday night, Jan. 20, and then finished off the week by downing Whitehall on the road 48-44 this past Friday night.
In the victory over Allen, the game was within just three points after three quarters of action, but Parkland doubled up the Canaries 16-8 in the final frame to take the important win in a matchup featuring two of the top three teams in the EPC.
Blake Nassry scored a game-high 19 points. Tyler Beck finished with 14 points and Nassim Adams tallied 13 points.
In the win against the Zephyrs, the Trojans trailed 13-10 after the opening quarter, but had a strong second quarter where they outscored Whitehall 13-4 to take control of a 23-17 lead at halftime.
The two teams were neck-and-neck the rest of the way before Parkland was able to hold on in the end.
Nassry tallied 19 points and Jude Ruisch added 13. Marcus Temchatin scored six points.
