The Salisbury swim teams split a meet against Saucon Valley on Thursday, Jan. 22. The Falcon girls team won 94-48, while the boys team lost to the Panthers, 109-54.

Phoebe Ballek (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle) and Olivia Amorim (butterfly, breaststroke) won two individual events each at the meet, while teammates Rachel McKelvey (100 freestyle) and Samantha Conrad (backstroke) won one each. They were also part of two winning relay teams along with teammate Meredith Kelley.

In the boys meet against Saucon Valley, Xavier Reihman (200 freestyle, 50 freestyle) and Caeden Amorim (individual medley, breaststroke) won two events each for the Falcons.

Salisbury also competed in the Third Annual Canary Swim Classic at Allen High School on Saturday, Jan. 31.

Olivia Amorim won two events at the meet, taking first place in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. Ballek won the 500 freestyle and took second in the 200 free at the meet.

The Falcon girls team finished second out of six teams at the meet, with Pocono Mountain West in first place with 61 points and Salisbury just behind at 55. East Stroudsburg South (46) was third.

Caeden Amorim won two events in the boys meet Saturday, with first-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley.

Salisbury’s boys team finished fourth at the Canary Classic with 20 points. Pocono Mountain West (54) took first place ahead of ES South (44) and host Allen (35). Dieruff (13) was fifth and Pocono Mountain East (2) finished sixth.
