EHS girls basketball gets to 12-1 in EPC

The Emmaus High School girls basketball team continued its strong 2025-26 regular season with three more wins last week.

Emmaus defeated Central Catholic 44-35 last Tuesday, Jan. 20, then beat Allen 60-21 Friday and followed that up the next day with a 62-19 win at East Stroudsburg South.

In the win over the Vikettes, Emmaus built a strong lead in the first half, outscoring CCHS 10-4 in the first quarter and then 11-6 in the second quarter to take a 21-10 lead at halftime. Central stayed within striking distance the rest of the way, but were never able to get closer than a couple possessions.

Gabby DeVita led the offense with 15 points and Gracie Ervin tallied 12 points.

In the victory against the Canaries, four seniors were honored before the game in DeVita, Olive Whitney, Sierra Stevens and Kaitlyn Grochowski. They made sure to walk off the court winners as they helped their team to a 28-6 advantage after the first quarter.

Whitney finished with a game-high 21 points, including five 3-pointers. DeVita had 13 points and both Stevens and Grochowski contributed four points.

Just like the game against Allen, Emmaus jumped out early and never looked back, outscoring the Cavaliers 25-5 in the first quarter and going on top 48-10 at halftime.

DeVita led a trio in double figures with 20 points. Whitney recorded 12 points and Ervin added 10. Glover had nine points and Olivia Haberl had seven points.

Emmaus, which improved to 15-3 overall and 12-1 in the conference, has three games left in the regular season.

The Hornets were at Dieruff this past Tuesday and travel to Parkland Friday The season finale is set for Monday against Whitehall at EHS.
