Summer camp sessions available at JuxtaHub
JuxtaHub, the Lehigh Valley’s new arts and innovation center, is now accepting registrations for its summer camp, offering hands-on creative experiences for children ages 6-12 throughout July and August.
The 4-week program invites students into JuxtaHub’s classroom studios as part of an immersive creative learning experience. Campers can explore ceramics, 3D printing, painting, illustration, fiber art, printmaking and storytelling.
The camp features flexible scheduling options designed to accommodate busy family schedules.
“JuxtaHub summer camp offers more than art instruction – it’s a place where kids build confidence, creativity and meaningful friendships while working alongside experienced teaching artists,” Ryan Hill, JuxtaHub’s executive director said. “Our intentionally small class sizes and flexible studio spaces allow campers to explore diverse creative disciplines in a supportive, engaging environment.”
“As a parent and a community leader, I know how valuable it is for children to have access to creative, hands-on learning opportunities close to home,” Valerie Deneen, president of the Emmaus Rotary Club said. “An arts and innovation summer camp at JuxtaHub fills an important gap in the western Lehigh Valley, giving kids a space to explore their creativity, build skills and stay engaged during the summer months.”
The camp operates in four weekly themed sessions:
•Week 1 (July 6-10): Foundations & Materials Exploration
•Week 2 (July 13-17): Storytelling: Story, Place and Imagination
•Week 3 (July 27-31): Innovation, Design and Making
•Week 4 (Aug. 3-7): Creative Construction: From 2D to 3D
Families can choose from multiple enrollment options:
•Full-day camps (9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) for ages 6-9, featuring rotations through multiple art and innovation classes throughout the day
•Half-day or full-day Studio Intensives for ages 10-12, allowing older campers to dive deeper into specific disciplines including 3D printing, ceramics (wheel throwing and hand building), printmaking and fiber arts
•Before care (8-9 a.m.) and after care (3:30-5 p.m.) for families needing extended hours
Age-appropriate programming ensures younger campers experience variety while older students develop specialized skills through extended studio time with dedicated teaching artists.
Costs for camps are discounted for JuxtaHub members. Before and after care options are also available at discounted rates for members. There are additional discounts when the same child is signed up for multiple weeks of camp.
JuxtaHub’s patron membership program offers families additional savings on camp registration and year-round programming benefits.
