LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Parkland Community Library celebrating the joy of reading in February

February is Library Lovers Month, and it’s the perfect time to celebrate the joy of reading and the vital role libraries play in our communities.

Dive into your favorite books, explore captivating stories and uncover insightful resources that showcase the wonder of libraries.Don’t miss out on our Winter Reading Challenge running until Feb. 28.

This is your opportunity to set a personal reading goal, track your progress and earn exciting prizes along the way.

It’s easy and fun!

Teens can join the excitement using the free Beanstack app, while children and adults can collect a paper log at the library to get started.

We’re proud to team up with Aunt Flow to combat period poverty by offering free hygiene products.

You can find a dispenser in one of our public restrooms because “a period should end a sentence, not a trip to the library.”

This initiative, known as “Know Your Flow,” in partnership with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, ensures menstruators have access to essential supplies effortlessly.

February also marks American Heart Month, so be sure to check out our special nonfiction book display dedicated to heart health.

And with the Winter Olympics happening now through Feb. 22, get in the competitive spirit by browsing our library display of books on skiing, skating and hockey.

In addition, February is a wonderful time to recognize Black History Month.

Discover powerful books and films that honor the rich cultural legacy and incredible contributions of Black Americans.

As Valentine’s Day is celebrated in February, indulge in a heartwarming love story.

We offer romantic tales to suit every taste.

Did you know Pokémon is turning 30 this year?
