Fire departments from Upper Macungie, Lower Macungie, South Whitehall and Western Salisbury townships were dispatched to McDonald’s in the 6800 block of Hamilton Boulevard around 4 a.m. Feb. 10 for a reported structure fire with smoke in the building.
Store employees discovered the smoke when they arrived for work and notified Lehigh County 911.
Crews inspected the roof area and interior parts of the building and were able to locate the source of the smoke in a section of duct work.
