Lower Macungie Library hours are 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
LML Afternoon Book Club will meet 1-2:30 p.m. Feb. 19 to discuss “The Book Club for Troublesome Women” by Marie Bostwick. The book for March 19 is “The Measure” by Nikki Erlick. The book club meets at the library.
Homeschool Hour for grades K-5 will meet 11 a.m. Feb. 23 and March 9.
Get in the Game for all ages will be held 6-7:45 p.m. Feb. 23 and March 11.
There will be a Sensory Coloring and Crafting for Adults session 11 a.m. to noon Feb. 24.
Art Adventures: Alma Woodsey Thomas for grades K-5 will be offered 6 p.m. Feb. 25.
Fun, Friendship and Fiber Arts (for adults) will meet 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 27 and March 13 and 27. Bring your projects and make friends and share ideas.
Teen Snack & Write for grades 6-12 will meet 4-5 p.m. March 2.
Chit Chat & Craft Adult Craft Night will meet 6-7:45 p.m. March 2 to create Celtic knots.
There will be a recipe swap and share for adults 6 p.m. March 3.
There will be a Sensory Movie Matinee for adults with disabilities and their caregivers 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 3 and 17.
Celebrate Dr. Seuss with Wacky Wednesday for grades K-5 starting 6 p.m. March 4.
The Lower Macungie Library Book Club book for 10:30 a.m. to noon March 4 will be “The Life Impossible” by Matt Haig. The book club meets virtually.
There will be a family friendly “Shrek” movie matinee for all ages 2 p.m. March 7.
Books and Beyond will meet 6 p.m. March 9 at the library to discuss “Sparring Partners” by John Grisham. The next meeting will be 6 p.m. April 13.
There will be a Sensory Game Day for adults with disabilities and their caregivers 11 a.m. to noon March 10.
There will be a family-friendly screening of “Song of the Sea” 2 p.m. March 11.
Precious Painted Eggs: Pint-Size Pysanky for grades K-5 will be offered 6 p.m. March 12. There will be a story and a takeaway craft.
There will be a Hobby Happy Hour for adults 5-7 p.m. March 16. This new monthly social will offer mocktails, snacks and music while you work on your own bring-along project.
Book Buddies: Olivia the Pig for grades K-5 will meet 6-7 p.m. March 18.
Builder’s Brigade for grades K-5 will meet 6-7 p.m. March 19.
The Teen Advisory Board will meet 4-5:30 p.m. March 19.
There will be a Jigsaw Puzzle Swap for adults 10 a.m. March 20. Bring up to five gently used puzzles to swap.
Teen Dungeons and Dragons for grades 6-12 will meet 4-5:30 p.m. March 23.

Lower Macungie Middle School will present “The SpongeBob Musical” 7 p.m. March 19, 20 and 21 and 2 p.m. March 21. Advanced ticket sales start Feb. 20.
The Emmaus High School Drama Department will present “Jekyll and Hyde” 7 p.m. March 25, 26, 27 and 28 and 2 p.m. March 28 and 29. There will be a complimentary Gold Card member preview performance 6 p.m. March 23. The Gold Card serves as your ticket. Online ticket sales have begun. Easter Bunny Photo Fun will be offered for children 10 and under 9-11:10 a.m. March 28 at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. Registration is required.
The Lower Macungie Township Senior Citizens will meet noon Feb. 17 at the community center. A board meeting will follow. If East Penn School District is closed for weather, there will not be a meeting. New members are welcome; they must be Lower Macungie Township residents over 60 years old.
Lower Lehigh AARP will meet noon March 5 in the lower level of Macungie Memorial Hall at Macungie Memorial Park. New members are welcome. For more information, contact Dot at 610-967-3284.
The Alburtis Seniors will meet noon March 18 at Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis. There will be a potluck buffet lunch followed by a meeting and bingo. There is a small charge. Bring a covered dish. For more information, call Doris at 610-966-3653.
Lower Macungie offers garden plot rentals on Bogie Avenue. Those who rented plots last year can now renew their plot rental for 2026. Starting March 2, plots are available to rent on a first come, first serve basis for residents and nonresidents. Contact the community center for more information.

Lower Macungie Township offers indoor pickleball at the community center gymnasium. Advance registration is required.
Open gym is available at the community center. Residents must purchase an annual membership to use the gym.
Lower Macungie Township offers many programs for adults and children.
Adult classes include yoga, Zumba, Pilates, martial arts and tai chi.
Youth classes include cooking, martial arts, golf and tot sports.
The community center is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Staff will be available by phone during that time at 610-966-6924. Updates will also be posted on Facebook and the community center website.
Yard waste center hours for February are noon to 5 p.m. Saturday only.
For March and April, the hours will be noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Yard waste permits are required for drop-off. The center is located at 5536 Indian Creek Road, Macungie.
