Cetronia Ambulance Corps achieves Blue Zone Project® status
Cetronia Ambulance Corps was recently designated as a Blue Zones Project® Lehigh Valley Approved Worksite.
Blue Zones Project® is a community-driven well-being initiative designed to make healthy choices easy.
The designation was approved Feb. 9 and a celebration was held at the CAC Headquarters, 4300 Broadway, South Whitehall, Feb. 13.
Bob Mateff, chief executive officer, Cetronia Ambulance Corps, accepted the designation from Brooke Griffith, executive director, Blue Zones Project® Lehigh Valley.
Also taking part were Kim Blichar, chief marketing and development officer, Lauren Blichar, marketing assistant, Cetronia Ambulance Corps and Jennifer Mann, organization and well-being lead, Blue Zones Project® Lehigh Valley.
Accomplishments to help secure this status, as noted on their website, include the following.
Cetronia created a comprehensive new health-promotion brand that delivers weekly wellness tips, recipes and movement routines across multiple internal platforms, including communication boards at each station. A complete 52-week messaging calendar ensures continuous well-being support for staff.
They also hosted an annual public Health and Wellness Expo, where attendees had access to flu shots, glucose readings, blood pressure checks, hearing screenings, CPR demonstrations and mental health resources.
Approximately 200 community members participated this year, reinforcing Cetronia’s commitment to regional health education.
Lastly, recognizing the unique emotional toll of EMS work, Cetronia provides critical incident stress management services to help providers recover from traumatic events. This program offers structured, compassionate support to mitigate stress, accelerate healing and identify when additional care is needed.
