The Scholastic book fair is coming to Sheckler Elementary School Feb. 27-March 5.

“This is a great opportunity to build your child’s home library with new books they’ll dive into again and again,” the Sheckler Elementary Facebook page states.

CASD Board of Education will next meet 7 p.m. March 10 in the administration offices of the district building, 201 N. 14th St.

The fourth-grade science fair is tentatively scheduled for March 11.

Students will be off from school March 20 for a teacher in-service.

Sheckler Elementary School Home and School Association is having a dine-and-donate night at Grove Street Pub and Grill, 1092 Howertown Road, North Catasauqua, 5-9 p.m. March 24. Enjoy a meal while supporting Sheckler, with 10% of dine-in sales, excluding alcohol, donated to the association.

Students will have spring break April 2-6 and will return back to school April 7.

The second-grade concert will be held 7 p.m. April 15.

Catasauqua Area School District has kindergarten registration open for the 2026-27 academic year. Children are eligible to enroll in kindergarten, starting in the fall of 2026, if they meet the following requirements: Your child must turn 5 years old before Sept. 1 (no exceptions), and you must live within the boundaries of CASD.
