Mark Andrew Kauffman, 45, died unexpectedly Jan. 20, 2026, in his home in Allentown. He was born in Bethlehem to the late Jane Kauffman and M. Lee Kauffman.
He worked hard for much of his life in the restaurant and hospitality industry, with his longest employment being at the iconic Brass Rail Restaurant on Lehigh Street, Allentown.
He loved sports, especially baseball and was a big fan of the Philadelphia Phillies but on the football front, rooted fiercely for the New York Giants.
He enjoyed playing games with his family and those he was closest with. Whether it was cards, chess, high-finance game Acquire or any of the other countless board games in the closet, he rarely turned down a chance to play something and was his happiest talking and laughing at those tables.
He had a passion for writing and was moved by all types of music, but found the most connection to the melodies and lyrics of the Counting Crows.
In addition to his father, he is survived by stepmother, Sue; stepfather, Ron; brothers, Brian, Gregg; stepbrother, Adam; stepsisters, Michelle, Kim.
Allentown Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC handled the arrangements.
