Jose Manuel Burgos, 96, of Allentown, died Feb. 4, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Peggy Pearson. Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Ceferino Burgos and Hortencia Rivera.

He proudly served with the Puerto Rican National Guard and the U.S. Army.

He was a respiratory therapist until retiring.

In addition to his wife; he is survived by sons, Gerard “Jerry,” Manuel Antonio “Tony”; mother-in-law, Margaret Pearson; sisters-in-law, Patricia Snyder, Pennie Hoofman; four grandchildren.
