James B. George Sr., 87, of Slatington, died Feb. 14, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Lehighton Campus. He was the husband of Eileen D. (Walters) George to whom he was married 66 years. Born in Slatington, he was the son of the late Winfield K. and Bessie (Becker) George.

He was employed as an assembly line technician for Mack Trucks, Inc., in Allentown for 33 years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Slatington. He enjoyed driving the ”open road,” traveling and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Debra L. Ritter (Kenneth), of Orefield, Karen K. Bachman (Jeffrey), of Slatedale, James B. Jr. (Laura), of Germansville; brother, Dennis, of Palmerton; sisters-in-law, Nancy, of Walnutport, Carolyn Archer, of Pine Grove; grandchildren, Emily, James, Adam, Logan; great-grandchildren, Calo, Merryn, Isla.

He was predeceased by siblings, Donald, Gary, Janice Semmel.
