Whitehall’s swim team wrapped up its regular season with a meet against Moravian Academy on Feb. 6 when the Zephyr boys defeated the Lions, 110-56, and the Lion girls defeated the Zephyrs, 100-69.
Whitehall’s Kendall Bashore was the only Zephyr to take first place in girls events, winning the 50 freestyle in 25.93 and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.35.
Whitehall’s boys swept all relay events, beginning with the 200 medley won by Cory Sommers, Anthony Bloom Morales, Griffin Werner, and Sebastian Lora with a time of 1:58.76, winning by .22 seconds.
Werner, Lora, Cameron Herring, and Jonny Stinner took first place in the 200 free with a time of 1:42.33, and Werner, Lora, Herring, and Stinner won the 400 free in 3:45.81.
Herring won two individual events: the 200 freestyle in 2:06.75 and the 100 free in 54.65.
Stinner also won two individuals: the 50 free with a time of 23.69 and the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:02.51.
Sommers placed first in the 500 free with a time of 5:53.17.
The Zephyrs will compete in the District XI Class 3A Swimming Championships on Feb. 20 and 21 at Parkland High School.
