Allen/East Allen townships: State representative plans coffee event
State Rep. Zach Mako, R-183rd, invites residents to attend a coffee and conversation event 9-11 a.m. Feb. 20 at the East Allen Township municipal building, 5344 Nor-Bath Blvd. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
This event is open only to residents of the 183rd Legislative District.

East Allen Township is looking for counselors for the summer camp program. This is a perfect opportunity for students interested in the field of education. Camp will run June 22-Aug. 7.
Prospective counselors must be able to work 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during camp. They must also have reliable transportation. Prospective counselors must be going into their junior or senior years of high school or be a college student.

Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township, will be hosting its 17th annual antiques show, set for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 7 and then 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 8.

St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 8142 Valley View Road, Seemsville, will be hosting its annual all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar 4:30-6:30 p.m. March 7. There is a cost.

St. Peter’s UCC is planning a cash bingo for April 19. The doors open 11:30 a.m. There is a cost, which includes a brown bag lunch.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, will be hosting a fishing contest May 2 and 3. Registration starts 8 a.m.
The youth contest is 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and the adult contest will be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
