LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

The only bowl where chewing the ball is encouraged

The Retriever Brewing, 2844 Township Line Road, Orefield, hosted a Puppy Bowl adoption event Feb. 8 for the Sanctuary at Haafsville. Dog lovers, owners and potential owners converged on the brewery before the Super Bowl to share their love for dogs and potentially adopt a puppy while there.

Three pens held adoptable pups with one holding six siblings from a kill shelter in Texas. The pups appear to be a mix of cattle dog, shepherd and hound. Interestingly, female dogs can be fertilized by multiple males, creating a multitude of breed mixes in one liter. Several foster families also brought their dogs for show and tell, educating those interested in fostering dogs.
