John J. Aleszczyk, 91, of Allentown, died in his home Feb. 7, 2026. He was married to Margaret T. (Matonis) Aleszczyk for 69 years. Born in Ashley, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Anna (Sagoska) Aleszczyk.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1958 and he was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Allentown, for the past 60 years.
He was a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. He enjoyed relaxing in his recliner while cheering on his favorite teams.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Linda Fedak and her husband, David, John and his wife, Angie and Joseph and his wife, Brandi; sister, Alice Belanchik; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph, Loraine Merlie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 12, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 415 S. Fifth St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9-10:15 a.m. Feb. 12 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
