Jacob F. Hammond

of Schnecksville

Jacob F. Hammond, 82, of Schnecksville, died Feb. 4, 2026, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Alice S. (Kistler) Hammond to whom he was married 59 years. Born in Dover, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Jane (Goettge) Hammond.

He worked for PPL in the rates and market research department for 38 years before retiring. Post his formal retirement, he was the sexton at Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a lifetime member of the Copeechan Fish and Game Club, Schnecksville. He was a founding member of the Schnecksville Playground Association for over 25 years and he enjoyed attending high school and college sporting events.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Jacob E. and his wife, Jennifer, of Schnecksville, Michael F. and his wife, Suzanne, of Slatington; sisters, Charlotte Hollingsworth and her husband, Sam, of Dover, Ohio, Beverly Luthy and her husband, Ed, of Dover, Ohio, Vera, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; grandchildren, Paige and her husband, Kyle White, Jacob, Cory, Ryan; great grandchildren, Kennedy and Dylan.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
