Anna Jane Withers, 96, of Saylorsburg, formerly of Emmaus, died at home, Feb. 2, 2026. She was the wife of the late William G. Withers. Born in Catlettsburg, Ky., she was the daughter of the late John Edward McAllister and Jennie Finch (Lawton) McAllister. Raised in Huntington, W.Va., she was a graduate of Huntington High School and Marshall University.

She was an elementary schoolteacher in Somerville and Hillsborough, N.J.

She is survived by a son, Brian L.; daughters, Barbara A., Mary Beth Fagan; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, Susan Sprouse, Sara Lowe.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James C. McAllister.
