BPA upgrades to express pay

The Bethlehem Parking Authority announces the launch of Express Pay, a new ticketless parking option now available at all gated BPA parking garages.

The introduction of Express Pay makes Bethlehem the first municipality in the Lehigh Valley to offer this camera-enabled parking experience. Express Pay is a new way to park with no tickets and no hassle – drivers can just park and go. First-time users activate once through ParkMobile (iOS Android) or ParkWhiz (iOS Android or Web) to link their vehicles and payment.

After activation, cameras at entry and exit recognize vehicles with a license plate match to open gates and start a parking session. Payments are securely processed digitally with your mobile device. Customers have the option to pay as they go or create an account for frequent use. Overall, the system is built to ensure maximum ease and security at all Bethlehem Parking Authority locations.

New, easy-to-follow signage is now installed at all Express Pay garages, making it simple for drivers to get started.

Executive Director Steven Fernstrom said, “Over the past several years, we’ve been very intentional about making our garage parking experience easier and the most convenient parking option in Bethlehem.” “Garage parking promotes longer stays, giving visitors more time to explore Bethlehem, and Express Pay makes that experience even easier.”

“Flash is proud to partner with the Bethlehem Parking Authority bringing best-in-class technology that makes moving around the city as smooth as possible” said Dan Roarty of Flash. The five Bethlehem Parking Authority parking garages with Express Pay are now live and serving drivers across the city.
