Winter craft fair set for Feb. 7 at Macungie Memorial Park

Grace Lutheran Church will offer a free community meal 5-6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 in the fellowship hall, 28 W. Main St., Macungie. Take-out meals are also available.

Grace Lutheran Church holds a free food distribution 2-4 p.m. Feb. 11 and Feb. 25 for East Penn School District residents. Signs will be posted with directions for parking and pickup.
Concordia Lutheran Church, 2623 Brookside Road, will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser with seatings 4:30-6:30 p.m. Feb. 6. The meal will include spaghetti with homemade meatballs and sauce, salad bar, bread, drinks and dessert. Proceeds will benefit the Concordia Latvia Missions.

Lower Lehigh AARP will meet noon Feb. 5 in the lower level of Macungie Memorial Hall at Macungie Memorial Park. The next meeting is noon March 5. New members are welcome. For more information, contact Dot at 610-967-3284.

There will be a K4K and Fur Mama sponsored winter craft fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 7 at Macungie Memorial Park.
The group will also host a “Goodbye Winter Craft Fair” 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 7 at Macungie Memorial Park.
Friends of the Macungie Institute will hold a bingo March 15 in the lower level of Macungie Memorial Hall, 50 N. Poplar St. There will be cash prizes, raffles, and food. The Macungie Institute offers free weekly Pinochle and Mah-jongg on Wednesdays in 2025. Pinochle is 10 a.m. to noon and Mah-jongg is 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

New members are welcome to join the Macungie Town Beautification Committee. The committee meets 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every other month at the Macungie Institute, 10 E. Main St.

Macungie Borough Council holds in-person public meetings at the Macungie Institute. The next meetings will be 7:30 p.m. Feb. 17 and March 2.

There is a certain irony in the fact that this winter, when we are buried in snow, is the year that our 20-year-old son CAN’T help shovel because he is recovering from a dislocated shoulder. He even has a doctor’s note!
