William Hamilton Gibson writes about snow, “Silently, like thoughts that come and go, the snowflakes fall, each one a gem.” Sounds poetic but lately those little “gems” have accumulated into huge piles accompanied by frigid arctic temperatures and have resulted in plenty of shoveling and shivering.
Whether you are a snowlover who enjoys strapping on skis, sledding down hills and building a snowman with the kids or a person who views snow less than favorably, most will agree the weather has been more than a little disruptive lately.
If you are willing to brave the elements, there is still some fun to be had in our area.

A lot of people like snow. I find it an unnecessary freezing of water. Carl Reiner
