EHS names student of the week
Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My mom Teodora, my dad Florin and my brothers Lucas and Noah.
Q. As a senior, do you have any specific goals you will pursue this academic year?
A. My specific goal I have is to do as best as I can and end my senior year with a bang. I want to work as hard as possible to give me a boost for my future and prepare myself as good as possible for college.
Q. What is your favorite class at Emmaus High School? Why?
A. My favorite class at Emmaus was French 4. The teacher was amazing and really showed an effort in helping us learn. He made class so much fun and engaging even though the topics were sometimes not.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. Yes; National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, Principals Honor Roll and Academic Excellence Award.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?
A. I am the president of Med Club, a Hornet Ambassador, a National Honor Society member, a Ski and Ride Club member and I volunteer at my church. Being involved in these organizations have shown me to step out of my comfort zone, meet new people and build relationships with so many people who have the same interests.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. I would consider my biggest challenge to be managing and balancing all of my academics with my everyday life, friends and family.
Q. At this time, what are your plans for the future beyond high school?
A. I am planning on going to a 4-year college majoring in bio/neuroscience premed and then after that going to medical school for pediatric neurosurgery.
Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with a historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?
A. I would choose Henrietta Lacks because of her impact on the medical field. Her cells are immortal and were used in many different research aspects, which helped to create many treatments that are still used today. She is an inspiration for me and many others.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I’d like to be remembered as someone who is caring, funny, kind, always there for people and a hard worker.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. My advice has also been my motto throughout high school; everything happens for a reason and that reason helps us grow, learn and guide us through life.
