The East Penn Conference boys’ basketball tournament will get underway this weekend and the field is set after Monday’s final day of the regular season.
The pairings for Friday’s first round were not official as of Press deadline, but Parkland (15-5, 14-1) will enter as the top seed and will take on either Central Catholic (11-10, 8-7) or Whitehall (10-11, 8-7).
Pocono Mountain West (18-2, 13-2) or Northampton (16-4, 13-2) will settle into the two or three seeds.
That’s where the rest of the field still remains murky, as Allen (16-5, 12-3) and Nazareth (17-3, 12-3) will likely meet in a four-five showdown.
Liberty (13-8, 11-4) likely gets the sixth seed and will play West or Northampton.
Quarterfinal action begins Friday at the site of the higher seed before moving to the PPL Center for Monday’s semifinals. Thursday night is slated for both the boys and girls championship games.
