Joseph Perdick

Holy Trinity Catholic Church member

Joseph Perdick, 75, died Jan. 26, 2026, at home. He was the husband of Jennifer “Jeanie” (Paly) Perdick for more than 53 years.

He was a son of the late Lewis and Helen (Strisovsky) Perdick.

He was a 1968 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War in the 62nd Engineer Battalion from 1970 to 1971 where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Following his active duty, he enlisted in the Army Reserves, where he served for more than 30 years and earned the rank of master sergeant. There, he was awarded an Army Achievement Medal and Army Commendation Medal. He retired in 2010.

He was an operating engineer and was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for more than 40 years.

He was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where he volunteered at the annual church picnic for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jason and Matthew with Cathy; a daughter, Jenel Davis with Garry; three grandchildren, Rhys Davis, Ryan Davis and Nathanael; three brothers, Richard, John with Susan and Robert Perdick with Lenny Smith; two sisters, Kathleen Heller with Jeff and Virginia Kotz with Gary; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Laurence and Lewis; and a sister, MaryAnn Holst.
