Area churches holding fundraisers

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, will be hosting Vince’s Famous Cheesesteaks Food Truck noon to 6 p.m. Feb. 5. Vince’s will donate $1 for every sandwich sold right back to the church. Lowhill Church will also be selling homemade baked goods.

The church is also accepting orders until Feb. 15 for their Easter Candy sale. Choose either half pound or a pound of peanut butter eggs, peanut clusters, peanut butter meltaways, raisin clusters, coconut cream (peanut rolled), coconut cream (no peanuts) in milk or dark chocolate, cotton tails in white chocolate, and nonpareils or sweet and salty in milk, dark or white chocolate. They will call when orders are ready. Estimated pickup will be the week of March 22. To place an order call Marlene at 484-707-7559.

They are also accepting orders until Feb. 15 for their R&K pretzel sandwich and sub sale. Pretzel sandwiches available in chicken breast with pepper jack cheese, Italian, ham and cheese, ham and Swiss, turkey and cheese, roast beef and cheese, sweet Lebanon bologna and cheese, all cheese, chicken, egg, and tuna salad. Subs available in spicy Italian with onions and peppers, Italian, ham, turkey, roast beef, American, with or without onions. Twelve-inch whole grain roll with turkey and cheese with onion or all cheese and onion. Pickup will be on Feb. 25 at the church. To place an order call Bev at 610-390-9380.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will be holding a free chili cook-off and dessert contest 12:15-2:30 p.m. Feb. 8 in the Fellowship Room. For questions or more information, call 610-285-6157, email ziegelsfellowship@gmail.com or go to www.ziegelschurch.org.

The Fellowship Committee will be hosting its annual potpie dinner 4:30-7 p.m. March 14. It is an all you can eat including chicken potpie, salad with bacon dressing, bread, applesauce, and desserts. Tickets will be sold in advance at a discounted price for adults- starting Feb. 8. Take-out quarts will be available for sale. Orders are due by March 1. Volunteers are needed, anyone who would like to join them in the kitchen can come beginning at 9 a.m. March 14. If you have any questions, email ziegelsfellowship@gmail.com.

Ziegels Helping Hands Youth Group is holding a clothing drive until March 8. They will also be holding a free community clothing event 9 a.m. to noon on April 11. If you would like to donate gently used or new, clean clothing and shoes, please bring items to the church lobby from 9 a.m. to noon weekdays and Sundays. The Sunday School is holding a Tara’s Treats Candy fundraiser. Orders are due to the Sunday School office by March 1. Pickup/delivery will be on March 22. Payment is due at the time of ordering. Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will be taking orders for its homemade chicken potpie with homemade noodles in quart size containers until March 1 for take-out only. They are also holding a hoagie sale. Options available are regular Italian with everything or no peppers, no onions with peppers, no onions or peppers, ham and cheese; no onions or peppers, turkey; no onions or peppers, roast beef; no onions or peppers, tuna and veggie.
