Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic volunteer registration open

Tournament officials have announced that volunteer registration for the inaugural Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic is now open to the public at: www.jeffersonclassic.com

The 2026 Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic will take place the week of Sept. 28 to Oct. 4 at Lehigh Country Club, Allentown.

“Volunteers play an essential role in every aspect of the tournament and are vital to our goal of raising funds for local charities in Eastern Pennsylvania,” said tournament director Tommy Sullivan in a Jan. 22 press release.

“Thank you in advance to the hundreds of individuals that will passionately donate their time to this special event each year. We are extremely grateful for their support,” Sullivan said.

The 54-hole stroke play golf tournament features 78 PGA Tour Champions professionals competing for a $2.3-million purse at Lehigh Country Club, with legends of the game, including names like Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, Bernhard Langer and Stewart Cink.

The event showcases the best golf on the PGA Tour Champions for the enjoyment of spectators and to benefit local charities throughout the greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley regions and Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Tournament proceeds will benefit local charities, including Valley Youth House and Eagles Autism Foundation, the primary beneficiaries of the inaugural Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic.

Volunteers have a variety of different areas available to choose from during registration. These areas represent the many tasks required to conduct an official PGA Tour Champions event. A description of each area is available on the volunteer page on the tournament website.

Volunteers receive a uniform that consists of a tournament-branded golf shirt, outerwear piece, hat, bag and volunteer pin. Volunteers receive two complimentary tournament grounds tickets (Thursday-Sunday), breakfast and lunch for each day they work, and an invitation to the annual volunteer party.

An $85 volunteer registration fee is in place to cover the cost of the volunteer package and represents an additional way volunteers help maximize the charitable donations that the tournament provides to the community, the press release stated.

The Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic is a Regular Season PGA Tour Champions event in 2026, which will give way to the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs,a season-ending, three-tournament series used to determine the Tour’s season-long champion.

The 2026 PGA Tour Champions schedule features 28 events and will conclude with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Phoenix, Arizona.

All three rounds of the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic will be televised on GOLF Channel, the exclusive cable-television partner of PGA Tour Champions. Internationally, PGA Tour Champions coverage is available in more than 170 countries and territories via 22 media partners.
