The Parkland High School post prom committee has begun fundraising for the post prom party. This tradition, instituted in 2002, is an annual event taking place 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on prom night at Parkland High School.
This event offers Parkland High School students attending prom with a fun, safe way to commemorate prom night with their classmates.
Post prom is an exciting event with plenty of activities for students to enjoy. These activities include athletic events, dancing, food, music, sketch artists, laser tag, mini golf, inflatable slides and more fun events and games. In addition to offering these activities, students are eligible to win a number of prizes upon entry to the high school.
Throughout the night, students have the opportunity to win iPads, televisions, gift cards, laptops and cash prizes. These prizes are generously donated by local businesses and parents.
In order to make this large event possible, with over 1,000 students in attendance, the Parkland post prom committee has instituted several fundraising opportunities.
The committee has partnered with Timothy Zaveri Fine Jewelers to offer Parkland “P” logo jewelry and charms. The committee has also partnered with P.J. Whelihans’, 1658 Hausman Road, Allentown. In order to contribute, while dining at the restaurant, mention the PHS post prom party Feb. 19, March 19 and April 16.
Additionally, community members can visit the Parkland High School website to view the Amazon wish list to donate prizes as well as baked goods, snacks and drinks.
Parents can also sign up to volunteer at post prom and help this event run smoothly. This website also contains links to view levels of corporate sponsorship for this event. If interested in becoming a post prom sponsor, contact Nicole McGalla at 610-351-5360 or email mcgallan@parklandsd.org.
This event is highly anticipated by PHS students; 2025 Parkland High School graduate, Kylie Krokus, said, “I loved attending post prom. There were so many fun things to do and it made my night really memorable.”
Thanks to the work of the Parkland High School post prom committee, this annual event helps keep students safe on prom night and provides them with a chance to spend one last night together before graduation.
