Volunteer registration new open
Volunteer registration for the inaugural Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic is now open to the public at the website www.jeffersonclassic.com.
The event will be held Sept. 28 to Oct. 4 at Lehigh Country Club, Allentown.
“Volunteers play an essential role in every aspect of the tournament and are vital to our goal of raising funds for local charities in Eastern Pennsylvania,” tournament director Tommy Sullivan said in a press release dated Jan. 22.
“Thank you in advance to the hundreds of individuals that will passionately donate their time to this special event each year. We are extremely grateful for their support.”
Volunteers have a variety of different areas available to choose from during registration.
A description of each area is available by visiting the volunteer page on the tournament website.
All volunteers receive a uniform including a tournament branded golf shirt, outerwear piece, hat, bag and volunteer pin.
Volunteers receive two complimentary tournament grounds tickets (Thursday-Sunday), breakfast and lunch for each day they work and an invitation to the annual volunteer party.
Tournament proceeds will benefit local charities throughout the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley regions and Northeastern Pennsylvania, including Valley Youth House and Eagles Autism Foundation.
The Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic is expected to feature a field of 78 PGA TOUR Champions players.
All three rounds of the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic will be televised on the GOLF Channel, the exclusive cable-television partner of PGA TOUR Champions.
