Union U.C.C. offers children’s church every Sunday during the 10:30 a.m. service for ages 3 through fifth grade. The young people start in worship with their family, then are invited to come forward for a message just for them. Next they leave with faith formation minister Nikki Pentland for stories and activities, rejoining their families at the end of worship.
On Super Bowl Sunday, St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, will take an offering for the Lehigh Conference of Churches kitchen. The conference kitchen works at the former Duffs Memorial United Church of Christ and offers three meals a day, five days a week, for those in need. While many have more than enough food to eat on Super Bowl Sunday, the church collects for those who have little or nothing.
St. John’s U.C.C. is collecting canned soup, nonperishable food and monetary donations. After the morning worship, people are invited to remain for a soup luncheon.
