The Salisbury Township Recreation Advisory Committee met Jan. 19 to discuss and plan events for the 2026 calendar year.

The committee continues to work hard to organize a number of community building events for Salisbury Township residents starting with the community egg hunt which will be held at Franko Park 10 a.m. March 21. In case of inclement weather a 10 a.m. March 28 rain date has been scheduled.

Due to the success of the concerts at Franko Park over the last few years, the committee will host a second concert with another local and very popular band.

AM Radio is slated to kick off the summer season with a May 30 concert and The Large Flowerheads will perform Sept. 12. Both concerts will be held 1-4 p.m. at Franko Park so mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss the fun.

As in the past, food trucks will be available on site if you work up an appetite rocking out to the tunes of the 1960s and 1970s.

Salisbury Night at the IronPigs will be held June 26. More promotional information will be made available as it gets closer to game night but a fireworks show will be included.

Lastly, National Night Out will be held Aug. 4 for Salisbury residents. In the past, this family-centered event offered a multitude of games, food and demonstrations with the goal of promoting police-community partnerships.

The next meeting of the recreation advisory committee will be 7:30 p.m. March 16.
