Northampton historical society treasurer
Richard Antoniuk, 91, of Northampton, died Jan. 19, 2026, at Advanced Health Care of Hanover in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Elinor (Faryniak) Antoniuk for 61 years.
Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Fenyk) Antoniuk.
He was a 1952 graduate of Northampton High School who went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Indiana Institute of Technology in 1959.
His career as a registered mechanical engineer spanned more than 53 years, last employed by Snyder Hoffman Associates, Bethlehem, before retiring in 2012.
He was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Allentown.
He was active in his community and served as treasurer for years for Northampton Area Historical Society.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David R. Antoniuk and wife Ann Harrington of Danielsville and Todd C. and wife Monika of Broomfield, Colo.; a niece, Kara Powner of Atlanta, Ga.; and a nephew, Jon of Bloomington, Ill.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald.
There will be a calling time 10-11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life 11 a.m., Jan. 31 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
