Paul H. Lind

of Zionsville

Paul H. Lind, 83, of Zionsville, formerly of Lindenhurst, N.Y., died Jan. 20, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Catherine D. (Young) Lind for 61 years. Born in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Paul George and Kathryn Marie (Humphrey) Lind.

He faithfully and honorably served in the U.S. Navy during a peacetime era.

He retired from Lower Macungie Township as the head of the sewer crew in 2010. Before that, he held several jobs. Most notably, he was the head of security for Loomis Armor, he was a police officer for the Macungie Police Department and worked at the former Kirsch Drapery Hardware. He was a member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kristen E. Sohaney and her husband, James, of Allentown; sisters, Lois Hall, of Albany, N.Y., Joan Gilmore, of Amityville, N.Y., Geri Winkleman, of Riverhead, N.Y.; grandsons, Blake A. and Gavin P. Sohaney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 30, at St. Thomas More, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Family and friends may pay their respects 6:30-8 p.m. Jan. 29 in the Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home, P.C., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown and 10-11 a.m. in the church Jan. 30.
