Joseph C. Stupak

of Northampton

Joseph C. Stupak, 86, of Northampton, died Jan. 13, 2026, in the home of his friends Geoffrey and Deborah Buskirk, after a battle with cancer.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stephen and Helen (Sugra) Stupak.

He graduated from Central Catholic High School and attended Muhlenberg College.

He served in the U.S. Marines for six years.

He lived in Denver, Colo., for a few years where he was an owner and operator of two restaurants. He worked for Bethlehem Steel 1974-1998.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church in Allentown.

He is survived by three children, Jason, Michael Lanski and partner Linda and Jennifer Boerstler and husband Jeff; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a companion, Mary Grozalis; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Stephen; a sister, Jacqueline Benkovic; and a previous companion of 40 years, Genevieve Lanski.

There will be a calling time 10-11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m., Jan. 24 at the church, 924 N. Front St. Allentown, 18102.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, c/o the funeral home, 950 N. Front St., Allentown, 18102.
