Pennsylvania Department of Education approved NASD to use five flexible instructional days as an alternate approach to delivering instruction in place of a day otherwise canceled due to inclement weather or building emergency. PDE will count an FID as a full day of school. During an FID, students will engage in at-home online learning.

Whenever possible, the day before an FID, students and parents will be alerted that NASD will implement an FID. If the FID is canceled due to the severity of the weather or other emergency, an additional message will be sent.

Visit the NASD website with more detailed scheduling for such days.

Consider donating to the schools’ food pantries. If you are interested in donating or are interested in signing your child up for the backpack program, email Kaitlyn Leh, school social worker, at lehk@nasdschools.org.
