Roseanne Ritter

of Allentown

Rosanne Ritter, 85, of Allentown, died Jan. 14, 2026, at Hidden Meadows, the Laurels, Sellersville. She was the wife of the late Martin P. Ritter, whom she was married to for 63 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Mary (Solderich) Best.

She was a telephone operator for the former Bell Tel.

She was then employed at the former Hess’s Department Stores as a department manager and was also employed by the former Almart Stores, H. Leh & Co., Bonton, Strawbridge’s and Macy’s and was a clothing specialist for Polo/Ralph Lauren.

She and her husband were co-owners of Rose-Mar Toy Poodles, being a groomer, breeder and judge at showings for more than 16 years. She was specifically a breeder of Apricot and Black Champion Toy Poodles, including “Sunny,” her favorite Apricot Toy, who was recognized in the National Poodle Registry as “A Producer of Champions.”

She was a member and past president of the Poodle Club of the Lehigh Valley, a member of the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club, as well as a member of the William Penn Poodle Club of Philadelphia. She was a member and delegate to the Pennsylvania Dog Federation.

She was an Eastern Star member of Jessie K. Berlin Chapter #492 and was a member of Cedar Church in Cetronia.

She also owned “Rosanne’s House of Dolls” all antique and collectible dolls and was an active member of the Madame Alexander Doll Club of New York. She had a collection of several hundred dolls.

She is survived by children, Timothy (Andrea Hamilton), Lynn A. Lewis (Frederick Lewis); grandchildren, Ashley and Jacob Lentz.

She was predeceased by siblings, Leon, Larry, Jeanne, Sharlene, Sandra.

A funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m. Jan. 24 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. There will be no calling hours.
