Jessica Louise Lee - PBS39 designer
Jessica Louise Lee, 67, a lifelong resident of South Bethlehem, died Jan. 8, 2026. Daughter to Esther M. Lee and William L Lee Sr., and granddaughter to loving grandparents on both sides, she was born at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was baptized at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, where she quickly became an engaged member of the Nativity Church school girls choir and eventually became a youth director.
She attended Madison ES, Broughal MS and graduated from Liberty HS. She earned a BFA degree in communications from Kutztown University and completed additional education and certifications in web design and animation.
She was hired by PBS39 in 1980, where she collected multiple Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards and nominations in a career spanning more than 40 years. Her talents included television graphics, marketing, print design, web publishing and photography.
She served as secretary for the following local organizations: NAACP Bethlehem, J.F. Goodwin Scholarship Fund, Esther M. Lee African American Heritage Center, South Bethlehem Historical Society and City of Bethlehem Zoning Board. She also won several community awards, such as YWCA Woman of the Year and the PBS39 Good Neighbor Award.
She was predeceased by her father. She is survived by her mother, brother William, Jr. (Lisa), nephews Adam (Anna) and Andrew (Beth); nieces Sarah (Chris), Jessica (Steve), and Christy (Chase); great nephews and nieces Andrew, Emily, Madeleine, Natalie, Taylor, Amelia, Peyton, and Norah; cousins Paulette (Lonnie), Marcella, Beverly (John), Ava (Charles), Steve (Judy), Jerome, Jayne (Steve), Tomacene (Brian), Tanya and a host of friends.
