David Hein appointed president of the Parkland School Board

At the Parkland School Board reorganization meeting Dec. 2, 2025, David Hein was selected president and Chris Pirrotta was chosen vice- president.

The meeting included administration of the oath of office and installation of newly-elected and reelected board members.

Leslie Frisbie, director of business administration and board secretary, announced the Parkland School Board roster for 2026.

The nine member team consists of Carol Facchiano, Hein, Pirrotta, Jay Rohatgi, Lisa Roth, Marisa Ziegler and newcomers Alyssa Beckwith, Jon Macklin and Matthew Weimann.

Hein, who began his fourth term on the board, has prior experience as president and vice-president of the Parkland group.

He has been involved in the Pennsylvania School Boards Association where he held leadership positions.

During his recent campaign for reelection, Hein offered comments on school district concerns.

“The most important priority for Parkland is addressing our facility needs (expansion and normal maintenance) to meet the ever-growing student population. We need to keep our students and staff safe and continue to provide high quality programs. We need to review all spending while keeping tax increases as low as possible,” Hein said.
