Thomas N. Casey

of Emmaus

Thomas N. Casey, 99, of Emmaus, died peacefully Jan. 7, 2026. Born March 24, 1926, in Springfield, Ohio, he was the son of Thomas J. and Pauline Frances (Myers) Casey. He was the husband of the late Mary Margaret (Heeger) Casey.

Employed at the White Motor Co., in Springfield, Ohio, for 17 years, he left to join Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in Allentown, in 1962, after moving his family to Emmaus. He retired from Air Products in 1989.

He was an active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Emmaus, as a choir member, Boy Scout leader and solicitor for annual fundraisers.

He is survived by children, Paul (Denise Gaal), of Edenton, N.C., Patrick (Beverly), of Emmaus, Phillip (Melody), of Macungie, Peggy, of Kutztown, Sean, of Emmaus, Kevin (Donna), of Macungie, Anne, and her husband, Christopher Roth, of Bethlehem; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Paul.

The centerpieces of his life were his family and friends and his devotion to his church. Much of his time before and after retirement was spent doing things for family members and friends.

He remained a very devout Catholic throughout his life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 14 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Jan. 13 in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.
