Judith M. “Judy” Wieand, 96, of Emmaus, died peacefully Jan. 5, 2026, at DevonHouse Senior Living. Born in Chattanooga, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Hannah M. (Trate) Underwood. She was the wife of the late Richard B. Wieand.
She made Emmaus her home, where she became a familiar and cherished presence in the community. She was a caring and devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. Her greatest joy came from nurturing her children and grandchildren and she took great pride in her role as the heart of her family.
She was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emmaus and was actively involved in the community as a member of the Emmaus Junior Women’s Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara and her husband, Randolph Schueck, Janice and her husband, Richard Rickert; son-in-law, Dale Peters; grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Christopher Plominski, Christopher, Randy, Kyle and his wife, Casey, Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Noah, Mae, Harrison, Cora, Charlotte, Ethan.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Peters; brother, Thomas Underwood; sister, Patsy Romando.
Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus, handled the arrangements.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the Emmaus Lions Club, St. John’s Lutheran Church or the Emmaus Ambulance Corps.
