Barbara A. Erich, 75, of Macungie, died Jan. 11, 2026, in her home. She was the wife of the late Blair D. Erich. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late James and Jean (Keinert) Carl.

She started working for Rodale Press as a secretary and typist and continued to do freelance dictation work for several other companies.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie.

Above all, she loved and cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela and her husband, Shawn Hoppes; sons, Loren and his wife, Lisa, Scott and his wife, Laura; grandchildren, Tiffany, Crystal, Ashley, Nathan, Chase.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Jan. 15 in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation 1-2 p.m. in the funeral home.
