PPL Foundation invests $300,000 to energize education

The PPL Foundation has awarded $300,000 in grants to 42 nonprofit organizations serving communities throughout PPL Electric Utilities’ 29-county service area in Pennsylvania.

These grants will help create engaging educational opportunities for students of all ages.

The funding supports programs that build a strong foundation for student success, including early childhood education, literacy initiatives, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs, summer learning opportunities, career exploration and college preparatory programs.

“Education is the foundation for thriving communities,” said Lissette Santana, president of the PPL Foundation. “We’re proud to partner with organizations that are opening doors for students and helping ensure that every child has access to high-quality learning experiences that prepare them for the future.”
