The first Lehigh Township Noon Year’s Eve event was held Dec. 31, 2025, at Bryfogle Park, Berlinsville. Despite the freezing temperatures, about 200 people attended for the noontime balloon and beach ball drop.
“We are so happy that this family-friendly event for the community really came together,” Karlee Farley, event organizer, said. “We hope to make this an annual event.”
She added the event would not have been possible without the help of volunteers.
“I want to thank the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company for inflating our 1,700 balloons at their station and helping transport them, along with Lorah’s Farm tractor-trailer, to Berlinsville Park. Among the balloons were 100 beach balls for the kids to take home,” Farley said.
Lehigh Township Lions Club provided free hot dogs and cocoa. There were also games and music for the enjoyment of those attending.
Donations of time, money and resources for the free chance giveaways were provided by Becky’s Drive-In, Blue Mountain Resort, David L. Hess Concrete, Farley family, Hantz family, Henry’s Service Station, Just Born Candy, Keith’s Lawn Care, Kichline family, King Kone, Lehigh Township Fire Company, Lehigh Township Lions Club, Lehigh Valley with Littles, Lorah Farms, New Tripoli Bank, Pencor Services Inc., Putt family, Redner’s Market, Schmidt family, Scoopendorf’s Ice Cream Company, Sunbelt Rentals, T&L Distributions, Thrivent and Weis.
Local businesses and organizations that were there included Lehigh Township Police Department, Indianland Garden Club, Waggin’ Tails Doggie Daycare, Filbert Bed and Breakfast, Moore Township PTA, River Rock Bean and Brew Mobile Bar, Hope Lutheran Women of Faith, Hitter’s Edge and Lehigh Township Athletic Association.
