A change in

the lineup

Just realized.

The first names of the first 12 students in my fourth grade class at St. Philomena’s, Lansdowne, Pa., in 1949 were Jennie, Kathleen, Donald, Joseph, Patricia, Virginia, Steven, Barbara, Peter, Robert, Sally and John.

The first names of the first dozen students in my teacher granddaughter Morganne’s fourth grade class in a school near Boston in 2025 are Jade, Daviel, Sharlenis, Raylin, Angel, Markus, Geily, Jesus, Kaiah, Jeramiah, Kiara and Kaleb.

The Statue of Liberty still stands tall.
