Pins abound in pair of Parkland wins

The Parkland girls wrestling team opened the 2025-26 season with a pair of dominant wins.

The Trojans beat Northampton 60-18 on Dec. 3 and followed it with a 66-9 win over Liberty Saturday.

Parkland got all 10 of its wins by fall in the match against the Konkrete Kids. Peyton Schneck (106), Payton Ocasio (106), Lily Snook (118), Leila Palmieri (130), Angelina Spachman (136), Grace Shaffer (142), Laura Volpe (148), Natalie Deutsch (155), Emily Siglin (170) and Liz Karla Grullon-Vasquez all pinned their Northampton opponents in the match.

The Trojans won 11 of 13 bouts against Liberty, including nine pins.

Schneck (106), Ocasio (112), Snook (118), Saige Rittenhouse (124), Palmieri (130), Volpe (142), Victoria Lasagna (148), Siglin (170) and Grullon-Vasquez (190) all won by fall against the Hurricanes. Deutsch (155) and Taya Daniels (100) won by forfeit for Parkland.
