Liberty’s swim team swept all 24 events in the Hurricane girls 111-45 and the Hurricane boys 129-39 victories over William Allen on Dec. 17.
Winning first place points for Liberty’s girls were Lilah McClarin, Elle Surowiecki, Sophie Terry, and Eva Madeira in the 200 medley relay (2:16.71), Estella Mikovich in the 200 freestyle (2:19.05), McClarin in the 200 IM (2:35.94), Terry in the 50 free (29.06), Madeira in diving (188.40), Terry in the 100 butterfly (1:13.16), McClarin in the 100 free (1:01.70), and Leah Onia in the 500 free (6:20.17).
Ruby O’Hara, Brynn McKeon, McClarin, and Terry won the 200 free relay (2:10.69), Onia took first in the 100 backstroke (1:16.35), Mikovich placed first in the 100 breaststroke (1:18.54), and O’Hara, Onia, Camilla Polanco Martinez, and Mikovich won the 400 free relay (4:43.73).
Top swimmers for Liberty’s boys were Jonah Korpics, Logan Malozi, Quinton Brown, and Nikhil Bonilla in the 200 medley relay (2:01.21), Korpics in the 200 free (2:02.07), Barlow in the 200 IM (2:07.74), Darren Nguyen in the 50 free (23.08), Everett Collins in diving (197.85), Korpics in the 100 butterfly (1:00.73), Barlow in the 100 free (51.04), and Xavier Koller in the 500 free (6:12.45).
John Cornish, Koller, Malozi, and Riley Kutz won the 200 free relay (1:43.78), Cornish took first place in the 100 backstroke (1:07.20), Malozi was first in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.29), and Cornish, Brown, Kutz, and Malozi won the 400 free relay (3:57.94).
