After a third straight trip to the state football championship game, the Northwestern football team was well-represented on this year’s All-Colonial League teams.

The league released its all-star selections recently with the Tigers earning nine selections on each side of the ball for the Red Division, including six unanimous selections on each side of the ball.

Tiger linebacker Shane Hulmes, an all-state selection in 2024, was named this year’s Colonial League Defensive Player of the Year. Unanimous Northwestern Lehigh selections on the first-team offense included Hulmes (tight end), Colton Popp (tackle), Braxton Lakatosh (running back), Brady Zimmerman (athlete) and Chase Sukanick (kicker). Defensive unanimous first-team picks were Hulmes, Zimmerman (outside linebacker), Michael Lagowy (defensive back), Popp (tackle), Michael Boring (end) and Shane Leh (defensive back).

Southern Lehigh running back Sean Steckert was named the Red Division Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Carter Giberson earned the Lineman of the Year selection for the Red Division.
