Local basketball teams usually hit the road over the holidays to experience new competition and grow as a team and this winter season is no different for Bethlehem area teams.

Freedom might have the best trip of all the teams, as the Patriots will head to Wildwood, NJ to take part in the Boardwalk Basketball Classic.

They open with Hatboro-Horsham on Dec. 29 at 10:30 a.m.

They’ll either play Williamstown or Absegami the following day, based on results of all teams.

Bethlehem Catholic is heading back to Eastern York to take part in their holiday tournament on Dec. 29 and 30.

The Hawks open with the hosts on the 29th and then play either Spring Grove or Waynesboro the next day.

Liberty heads to the Jameer Nelson Classic at Widener University where they’ll play William Penn (DE) on December 28.

The only other game the Hurricanes will play over break is against Downingtown West on January 3.
