Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4102 S. Church St., Egypt, will hold a Solemnity of Mary New Year’s Day Mass 9 a.m. Jan. 1.

The youth group at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, will resume its clothing drive Jan. 1. They are collecting new or gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, as well as shoes, purses, belts, bed sheets and pillow cases, bath linens and stuffed animals. Shoes must be bagged separately.

All clean, wearable clothing and shoes will be distributed to people in need. No quilts, comforters, pillows or blankets will be accepted.

Drop off your donations inside the enclosed porch at the rear of the church.

Shepherd of the Hills has an Epiphany service with Holy Communion set for 7 p.m. Jan. 6.

The youth will lead the congregation in worship during the youth Sunday service 9 a.m. Jan. 25.

Start the New Year at one of the many concerts scheduled at Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road — Tim Harakal: Jan. 9, Madalyn Rayn and Larry Werner Duo: Jan. 16, Sons of Izzy: Jan. 17, Courtney Cassium and Aidan Heil Duo: Jan. 23 and Zaire: Jan. 24. All concerts begin 7 p.m.

Egypt Memorial Park members are invited to the yearly membership meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 13. Light refreshments will be available.

Nonmembers are encouraged to apply for membership. Past events have included egg hunts, festivals, car shows and trunk or treat. The park board welcomes suggestions for additional events.

Aerobic dance fitness classes will take place 6:30-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday in January and February in the heated pavilion at Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St. Bring water, a mat and dumbbells, if you have them.
