If you are looking for things to do over the holiday, Wildland’s Conservancy has two hikes that might be of interest. The first event is the three mile end-of-year – Get out For Wellness Hike at Black River Sanctuary 10 a.m. Dec. 27. This rigorous hike promises to be scenic and invigorating offering panoramic views of the Lehigh Valley. Registration for this event ends Dec. 25.
You can also reconnect with nature and ring in the New Year with a First Day Hike Jan. 1, 2026, at the Black River Sanctuary. This winter hike begins promptly 10 a.m. with a 2.5 mile hike to the summit and ends with your choice of a coffee or mocktail toast from Zekecraft. Registration for this event ends Dec. 29.
