Still time to view vintage Christmas decorations

The Emmaus Historical Society and Museum, 218 Main St., is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. If you haven’t seen the beautiful vintage Christmas decorations and the train putz, there is still time. Stop by with family and friends Saturdays through Jan. 10, 2026.
The Emmaus Borough offices will be closing early Dec. 24 and be closed Dec. 25. In a similar fashion, the borough offices will close early Dec. 31 and be closed Jan. 1, 2026.
The Emmaus Rotary Club will not meet Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2026.
The Emmaus Public Library will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, as well as Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2026. Following the holidays, activities and events will resume at the Emmaus Public Library beginning Jan. 3, 2026.
On Jan. 10, 2026, the Emmaus Public Library will host Cat Castles 1-3 p.m. This event does not involve your feline friends, but will instead provide the supplies to get creative in building castles for cats. Please register your intent to join at emmauspl.org/calendar.
The Emmaus Public Library will host a movie showing 2 p.m. Jan. 19, 2026. Disney’s “Selma Lord Selma” will play in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Tory Schultz, the Emmaus Public Library’s children’s wing gallery artist, will host a meet and greet 6 p.m. Jan. 22, 2026. She will be working on a painting while speaking to all about her art in the Young Adult Lounge at the library.
The Emmaus Historical Society will not hold a membership meeting/program in January 2026, but mark your calendars for Feb. 19, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, 501 Chestnut St. The program is titled “The Allentown Fairgrounds, History and Current Day Happenings.” Programs are free and both members and nonmembers are welcome to attend.
Lucky Bucks Bingo will take place March 15, 2026, and tickets will be on sale online at lehighvalleychamber.org/events or at the Emmaus Historical Society. They sell out fast so get your tickets starting the second week of January 2026.
Bus trips through the Emmaus Historical Society are already scheduled for 2026. The deadline for registration and payment is Jan. 14, 2026. The historical society is looking forward to seeing all the regulars and hopefully some new faces as well.
